About Membership

To become an IBA member you must be registered as a graduate student or postdoctoral fellow in a biology program at a Norwegian university or research institute, and must be active in research on infections and/or antimicrobials.

The IBA program does not have any mandatory activities. Participants will gain access to a national network focusing on infections and antibiotics, with the possibility to apply for travel and accommodation support for program activities not provided at the home university.

You are expected to present your research project and progress at the annual IBA meeting. All courses and the annual meeting can be attended for free by members.

Please complete this form to apply for membership. Only your name and university will be displayed publicly on the web page; project title, project description and photo (optional) will only be displayed for registered participants of the program via a log in function. The other requested information will not be displayed at all. Contact Tina Svingerud (tina.svingerud@ibv.uio.no) if you have questions regarding membership.

IBA associate-ship

If you do not fulfill the criteria above, you can be registered as an IBA associate to participate in our courses and other activities. Most courses and the annual meeting can be attended for free by associates. Accommodation during and travel to courses can not be co-funded, and needs to be paid for by your supervisor, from stipends, or yourself. For the annual meeting accommodation and travel will be co-funded for associates.

Only your name and university will be displayed publicly on the web page; project title, project description and photo (optional) will only be displayed for registered participants of the program via a log in function.
