The course will feature lectures on the most common bacterial zoonoses in Norway and state-of-the-art methods used in surveillance and research. There will also be opportunity to present your research in poster format as well as networking through dinners and activities in the evening
IBA will cover the course expenses as well as travel and accommodation for members that are PhD students, medical “forskerlinje” students and postdocs (please review our funding guidelines here). For other members we cover the course fee only.
For more details including the program see the course page.
From August 1st 2019 IBAs new national studies coordinator will be Tina Svingerud. Should you have any questions regarding reimbursements, funding for external courses, our research travel grant or the upcoming annual meeting in Bergen in November, she is ready to answer them!
We repeated last years successful event for the Oslo node of IBA in beautiful surroundings in the Oslo fjord! We braved the changing weather conditions and had fun getting to know each other through great conversations and discussions planning future collaborations while enjoying great food!
Future meetings with equal success are greatly anticipated!
This is a reminder to all members that IBA will fund attendance at courses organised by EMBL.
For instance, one upcoming course organised by EMBL is a six day advanced course on fluorescence super-resolution microscopy that will cover both theory and practical application of current super-resolution microscopy techniques to biological questions.
The course will take place in Heidelberg, Germany from July 8th to 13th 2019 and the deadline for applying is April 25th!
